Thumb Sucking

So far, Noah’s been pretty adept at sucking on his hands whenever one of them flails near enough to his mouth. But today, he got his thumb in there. Just his thumb! It didn’t last horribly long, since he hasn’t really got his muscle coordination down yet, but hopefully soon he’ll learn to get that thumb in there on his own and mom and dad won’t always have to walk around with one finger clean enough for him to suck on.

Doctor's Checkup 07 May 2004 05:11 pm

2 week checkup

On Wednesday we went to Noah’s 2 week checkup, and we’re happy to report he’s doing well. He was 8 lbs, 4 oz (80th percentile), 21.5 inches long (95th percentile) and 14.5 inches head circumference (75th percentile). His circumcision has healed nicely, and the doctor was overall pleased at Noah’s progress. We were given the all clear to let *him* wake *us* at night when he needed to feed (when he was jaundiced we had to keep him on a tight schedule) and he made it 4.5 hours Wednesday night, which was nice. We go back in 6 weeks for his 2 month checkup! More pictures have been posted to his gallery, and more are to come, I’m sure!
